	Walking Horse Ranch/Serengeti Bend                                   2007/2008 Price List All guided hunts on Walking Horse Ranch are exclusively managed by Serengeti Bend Resources, LLC ***Summer Months Savings - Book a hunt for Trophy Exotics or Wild Hogs, May through Sept, and receive 25% off your total bill***" Serengeti Bend takes pride in providing a superior overall hunting experience to all of our valued clients.  Pricing is part of that experience.  Unlike many hunting operations, with Serengeti Bend there are no hidden or confusing fees tacked onto your bill.   All trophy hunts have a base fee that covers all standard services and then a kill fee is assessed based on the trophy animal harvested.  All packaged management hunts, hog hunts and turkey hunts have a single fee that covers both standard services and animals harvested per the package detail.  All clients may add additional animals and non standard services at the rates provided. Standard Services for all Trophy and Packaged Hunts Lodging – Hunters stay in our newly built and very comfortable hunting lodge.  The lodge offers every         modern convenience, is fully furnished and has two master suites and bathes.  The view from the lodge is incredible. Meals – all meals and snacks are provided.  Hunters can chose from multiple dinner selections such as fresh Alaskan salmon, grilled steaks, wild game, grilled hamburgers, pasta, chili and more.  Lunches generally consist of deli sandwiches, sausage wraps, hotdogs, etc.  Breakfasts include pasties, bacon/sausage and eggs and breakfast tacos.  The kitchen is always stocked with a variety of snacks, fresh fruits and vegetables, juice, soda, coffee, bottled water and appetizers.   Game Processing – we will dress and quarter all of your harvested animals.  All meat is stored in our exceptionally clean walk in cooler.  We will also handle all caping and taxidermy prep for your trophies.   Fishing – hunters are welcome to fish in Cherokee Creek or any of our tanks for largemouth bass, crappie and catfish.   Ranch Tours – Walking Horse is truly a spectacular Hill County ranch.  We offer ranch tours between hunts for anyone interested in seeing all the beauty and wildlife the ranch has to offer. Kids under 14 hunt for free with adult, within adult’s specified package. $75 per night charge.  This does not apply to trophy hunts if youth is pursuing a trophy animal.   Hunters may harvest certain varmints such as rabbits, raccoon and coyote at no additional charge. Trophy Whitetail Buck/Management Whitetail Buck $599 base minimum fee.  Kill fees are assessed based on gross B&C score.   Trophy bucks start at $1099 kill fee and move upward based on B&C gross score. Scoring schedule is provided at the bottom of this page.   Management bucks start at $999 kill fee and top out at $1499 based on gross B&C score. Package includes harvesting one whitetail doe and two wild hogs. A second trophy or management buck or exotic can be added per hunter, for a 25% discount. Trophy Exotics/Super Exotics $599 base minimum fee.  Kills fees are assessed for each animal harvested. A second trophy animal can be added, per hunter, for a 25% discount on kill fee The Fill Your Freezer Hunt This is the perfect package for hunters who do not have the time to hassle with a lease but want to “fill the freezer” with wild game and get in a lot of action.   Two whitetail does are allowed to be harvested per hunter. One whitetail spike/cull per hunter. Up to 4 wild hogs per hunter No limit on small game/varmints $899 per hunter Whitetail Management Hunt Two does are allowed to be harvested per hunter. One spike/cull per hunter. No limit on small game/varmints $699 per hunter Hog Wild Hunt Up to 5 hogs can be harvested per hunter $499 per hunter Trophy Russian Boar can be added for a $349 kill fee (this is a 200+ lb boar of mountable quality Rio Grande Turkey Hunts $499 minimum base fee. $99 per hen kill fee.  $199 per tom kill fee. Package includes harvesting two wild hogs. Nighttime predator/varmint hunt - $99 per person Additional Services Non hunting guests may stay on the ranch for a fee of $99/night.   Taxidermy – WHR contracts with a Master Taxidermist in Austin, TX.  We will be happy to handle this for you with a 10% fee and shipping costs.  Our taxidermist does outstanding work (as displayed in our lodge) and does so in a very reasonable amount of time.   De-boning – For $17 per animal we will de-bone meat for ease of shipping.  This also significantly cuts down on your cost at a processing facility. Additional Notes/What is not covered It is best to books hunts as far in advance as possible.  Demand is high and open slots become more limited as we near deer season.   All hunters are required to provide a deposit of $599 (base fee) for trophy hunts and 50% of the total fee for packaged hunts in order to hold a booking on the calendar.   All reasonable attempts will be made to retrieve wounded game.  However, if we are unable to retrieve any game animal and evidence is present that the animal was in fact wounded, hunter will be charged appropriately. All hunters must posses a current and valid Texas hunting license.  We will provide tags for whitetail deer.   Turkey hunters must provide own tags.  No tags are required for hogs or exotics.      Hunters need to provide their own clothing, boots, rifles, ammunition and coolers for transporting meat/mounts. If any specials needs are required, transportation, customized hunts, special food or drink – just let us know and we’ll will see how we can best accommodate you.
